If I had 2 hands. . .

If you think that children aren't listening to the lyrics in songs, you might want to think again!

This is the most recent conversation in our van on the way to church last night. We were listening to a song by Jars of Clay with the following lyrics, "If I had 2 hands . . ."
M says: "If I had 2 hands??? (In her sarcastic, I can't believe someone would say that voice) Everybody has 2 hands, unless you are an octopus and have 8."
L to M: "But, an octopus is not a person" (can you tell she is very concrete and a realist??)
M to L: "Well, if an octopus WAS a person, it would have 8 hands."
L to M: "Well, good luck on that dream!!"

I love this part of their childhood! It just makes me smile!!
