Major producers of bollywood, india's film industry capital, have filed a lawsuit over two television news channels for filming the industry, drug and crime after the death of a young movie star. The suit was filed by the producers guild of india and the screenwriters association, as well as production companies affiliated with senior bollywood representatives sharrokhan, salman khan and amer khan.

The producers filed their lawsuit on republic tv, its founder arnab goswami and times now, and representatives of the two channels have not yet responded to a request for comment, and a lawyer representing the producers has not yet been reached.
